The clocks spring forward and it can feel like we've lost an hour, or that we've gained some extra light in the evening and we're on the way to summer! As with a lot of our lives - it's all to do with point of view and perspective!

You may not be a spring clean type of person (or a summer, autumn or winter clean type person!) but it's a good time to not just dust off our summer furniture, but also our 2025 plan. You know, those ones you made in the gloom of December / January? We're only a quarter of the way through the year so there's plenty of time to get cracking and bring those plans to fruition.

Sometimes it's all too easy to get sidetracked by what others are doing and by the noise and news around us. For example, people often ask if it's a good time to move or should they wait for the spring statement/budget/new interest rates/new government.... and whilst that can sometimes be relevant in certain situations (especially if you're investing) most times if you want to move house then: move house. I have had three sales complete this month and several others are progressing and they've been successful because they've found the right buyer AND they've made decisions that suit their situation. Whether that is downsizing, or preparing a house after the passing of a relative - your situation is different to other people and you can only do the best for you.

Something that also applies to work on your house or garden that people do at this time of year - yes, online trends and styles can be an inspiration but it's all about what suits you, your space, and your budget. In times of uncertainty it can be empowering to focus on what we can get done for ourselves - and having a tidy and a cost effective spruce up can make us feel a whole lot better and like we're ready for other challenges - like those plans we made in January!

Remember, it's about our perspective - a quarter of the year gone already, or three quarters still left?

If you're looking to move house in the next three quarters of the year - get in touch for a confidential, no obligation chat.
