People often recommend a TV show or a film that I must watch. With limited down time I often lose track of what to watch or what I was watching and when I do get back to the right one - I forget who is who. Sometimes I just give up.

Selling a house can be an overwhelming experience. It might start off with the excitement of browsing houses online or visiting an area you like - but then you get into all the practical aspects that can be hard to keep track of - even though you know the main plot, you might lose track of the main characters and what they’re doing.
Your salvation can be found in lists. Sure, there’s probably an app that helps you keep things together but making an old fashioned list can help keep you organised, on track, and feeling more in control.
Less Game of Thrones, more Game of Homes.
Stay on Top of Tasks:
Remember that iconic scene from "The Shawshank Redemption" where Andy Dufresne meticulously plans his escape? Well, think of making lists as your own personal escape plan from the chaos of selling your house. By jotting down all the tasks you need to accomplish, you can stay organized and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. From decluttering and staging to finding the right estate agent and scheduling open houses, your list will be your guiding light.
Prioritize and Focus:
Just like "The Godfather" taught us the importance of prioritizing family, making lists helps you prioritize the tasks that matter most. By breaking down your to-do list into smaller, manageable chunks, you can tackle them one by one, ensuring you stay focused and efficient. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will your house sell overnight. But with a well-structured list, you'll be well on your way to a successful sale.
Track Progress:
Ever watched Ted Lasso and felt inspired by Ted’s good natured determination? Well, making lists allows you to track your progress and celebrate small victories along the way - even if you feel like you’re in above your head in an area you’re not sure about. As you check off completed tasks, you'll gain a sense of accomplishment and motivation to keep going. Plus, seeing your progress visually can provide a much-needed boost during those moments when selling your house feels like an uphill battle.
Stay Organized:
I might not be known for my fashion but I did enjoy "The Devil Wears Prada" with Meryl Streep. When her character said "Details of your incompetence do not interest me," it was hard to not to think back to a boss or two from my youth! (It was a tough paper round.) Well, making lists ensures you won't fall victim to any incompetence when it comes to selling your house. By keeping all the necessary information, contacts, and deadlines in one place, you'll have a clear overview of your progress. No more scrambling for that important document or forgetting to follow up with potential buyers – your list will be your trusty sidekick.
Don't be listless.
Making lists can be a game-changer when it comes to selling your house. From staying organized and tracking progress to prioritizing tasks and maintaining focus, lists provide the structure and clarity needed to navigate the complex world of moving home. So, channel your inner movie protagonist, grab a pen, and start listing your way to a successful home sale.
